CONGRATULATIONS TO THE AIA VIC AWARD WINNERS
The 2020 Victorian Architecture Awards were announced on Friday 10 July, and the Heritage Council is proud to support the John George Knight Award for Heritage Architecture, which was awarded to Kerstin Thompson Architects for Broadmeadows Town Hall.
The AIA jury described it an “outstanding” example of adaptive reuse and “a beacon for the community”, also awarding the project the best overall competition prize, the Victoria Medal.

Kerstin Thompson spoke about the Broadmeadow Town Hall as part of the 2019 Heritage Address presented by Open House Melbourne and the Heritage Council of Victoria, which can be viewed in full here.
