Awards and Partnerships

The Heritage Council of Victoria is required, among other statutory responsibilities outlined in the Heritage Act 2017, to “promote public understanding of the State’s cultural heritage and develop and conduct community information and education programs.”

We do this in a number of ways, including through partnerships with key organisations, events, and awards programs.

Heritage Council Community Awards

The Heritage Council of Victoria recognises community organisations and individuals that have made outstanding contributions to the preservation of the heritage of the State.

Houses Awards

The Heritage Council of Victoria is the sponsor of the House in a Heritage Context category of the annual national Houses Awards.
