Good design and heritage panel in Geelong for Design Week

Join us for a panel looking at when new meets old – Good Design and Heritage, as part of  Melbourne Design Week in Geelong.

Heritage buildings and places are loved by the general public but as the world and our lives change they sometimes need to be re-imagined.

This all female panel of experienced architects and heritage practitioners will discuss how good design can be matched with heritage to provide buildings and places that will be loved by the community in our future as well as our past. The panel is presented with Open House Melbourne and the Office of the Victorian Government Architect. Local, national and international examples will be discussed.

Panellists include Jill Garner, Victorian Government Architect and Kim Irons of Irons McDuff architecture.

Melbourne Design Week in Geelong is an initiative of the Victorian Government. Geelong is a member of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network following its designation as a City of Design in 2017.
