Australian Heritage Festival

As part of the Australian Heritage Festival 2018, the Heritage Council of Victoria and Heritage Victoria hosted a series of tours of the Artefact and Research Center in Abbotsford last Friday.

The day was a sell out, with people coming from all over to hear stories and get a glimpse of  some of Victoria’s  most interesting historical archaeological artefacts. Guests were able to interact with items from the Loch Ard shipwreck and Pentridge Prison and speak with archaeologists who have been present at some of the state’s most compelling digs.

The Australian Heritage Festival runs until May 20. See https://www.nationaltrust.org.au/ahf/ for more details about the last two weeks of the festival.
