Celebrate Victoria's heritage by displaying a blue plaque.
Blue plaques are a proud symbol of Victoria's diverse heritage.
All places and objects in the Victorian Heritage Register can have a blue plaque. They help us share the stories and history of Victoria’s most significant heritage places.
Blue plaques offer everyone the chance to discover and appreciate Victoria's rich heritage. By displaying a plaque, you help share the unique history of a place or object with the wider community.
To see if a place or object qualifies for a blue plaque, search for a place or object in the Victorian Heritage Database or through Heritage Victoria. Eligible places or objects will have a VHR reference number.
If a place or object doesn't have a VHR reference number, it might be a local, national or world heritage site and is not eligible for a blue plaque.
To order a blue plaque, fill out and return our order form. We provide one plaque free of charge for each place or object.
