Learn how we partner to celebrate Victoria's rich cultural heritage.
We celebrate and protect Victoria’s heritage by collaborating with organisations and individuals.
Together, we conduct research, host events, present awards and share the stories of Victoria’s rich cultural heritage.
We invite partnerships across business, not-for-profit, professional industry, academia and community groups to help promote and explore our shared heritage.
We partner with organisations on research and work to better protect and understand Victoria’s unique heritage. We use our research findings, case studies and guidance to improve heritage practices and decision-making.
We support a range of events that showcase Victoria’s heritage. We have been a proud partner of Open House Melbourne since it began in 2008. We also support the National Trust Australian Heritage Festival.
Our awards aim to promote the commitment and contribution of individuals and organisations to Victoria’s cultural heritage. Their work strengthens public understanding and appreciation of our cultural heritage.
We recognise community organisations that have made outstanding contributions to the preservation of Victoria’s heritage. We also award the Ray Tonkin Heritage Volunteer Award to recognise individuals for their outstanding service to heritage.
We also support awards that celebrate heritage architecture and design. We do this with a range of local, state and national partners.
