The Heritage Council of Victoria is an expert group appointed by the Governor in Council. We play an essential role in safeguarding Victoria’s past and guiding the state’s future.
The Council has 10 members and 10 alternate members with diverse professional expertise. A small and talented secretariat supports our work.
Council members are heritage specialists and community representatives. They come from a range of professions including archaeology, history, architecture, engineering, construction, property management, planning and law.
