About integral objects

Integral objects are part of a registered heritage place.

They give us a deeper understanding of the place’s state-level significance.

These objects might include original furniture, fixtures, machinery or other items.

An integral object is listed with a registered place in the Victorian Heritage Register. It does not have its own listing.

Registering an integral object

To have an integral object included in the Register, you must show how the object:

  • is a key part of the registered place

  • contributes to our understanding of the place’s state-level cultural heritage significance.
