Learn what makes an object integral to a heritage place in the Victorian Heritage Register.
Integral objects are part of a registered heritage place.
They give us a deeper understanding of the place’s state-level significance.
These objects might include original furniture, fixtures, machinery or other items.
An integral object is listed with a registered place in the Victorian Heritage Register. It does not have its own listing.
To have an integral object included in the Register, you must show how the object:
is a key part of the registered place
contributes to our understanding of the place’s state-level cultural heritage significance.
Refer to the policy and guidance below for details on what to include when nominating an integral object to a place in the Victorian Heritage Register.
