This free workshop at Warrnambool RSL is aimed at owners and managers of War Memorials and Honour Rolls. It includes sessions on the care of a wide variety of materials.
Led by heritage materials expert David Young OAM with HV materials conservation officer Jenny Dickens, and Cathy Nash speaking on DPC Veterans Branch grant programs, the workshop will provide extensive information on documentation and recording, care and cleaning and address stones, mortars, inscriptions, gilding and metals as well as timber honour rolls.
The workshop will run from 9 am to 5 pm and include a site inspection of several memorials. Lunch and morning and afternoon tea included.
