Government House Victoria will hold its annual free open day on Australia Day.
Visitors can view the main house, including the Governor’s Private Apartments adn the historical collection including antiques from the Johnston Collection and artwork from the National Gallery of Victoria.
Other highlights will include a flyover by the RAAF Roulettes, former Melbourne Cup champion racehorses and children’s activities.
Grounds open: 9.30 am – 4:30 pm.
House tours: 10.00 am – 4:00 pm (House tour queue closes at 3:00 pm)

Nearby La Trobe’s Cottage, Victoria’s first government house, now a National Trust property, is also open the same day. Admission charges apply for non-members.
