The Heritage Council Community Award 2021

The Heritage Council of Victoria recognises community organisations that have made outstanding contributions to the preservation of State heritage by awarding the Heritage Council Community Award. We congratulate this year’s recipients of The Heritage Council Award for their time and work protecting, promoting and celebrating their community’s cultural heritage:

  • The Warrnambool Planning and Heritage Group Inc. for their work on the Fletcher Jones Stories Project and the Fletcher Jones Factory and Gardens (H2101), and
  • The Camperdown Grandstand Restoration Committee for their work restoring the Camperdown Turf Club Grandstand (H2093).

We interviewed Julie Eagles, Coordinator of the Fletcher Jones Stories Project, for the most recent edition of the Heritage Newsletter. Our interview with Camperdown Grandstand Restoration Committee secretary, Mary Hay, will be published in the next edition of the Heritage Newsletter (Feb 2022).

If you didn’t sign up in time to have the newsletter emailed to you, you can find a copy on our website.
