Heritage Council Statement on Novel Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19)
The Heritage Council is conscious of the need to respond to the difficulties faced by the Victorian community during the unfolding COVID-19 situation. The Council is closely monitoring advice from the national and state governments and government health authorities in relation to COVID-19. Updated advice from the Department of Health and Human Services on COVID-19 is regularly made available via:

The Heritage Council has already postponed or cancelled some events, meetings and hearings, and has advised other stakeholders that further adjournments or cancellations may occur at short notice in the case of a known risk to attendees from COVID-19 or upon the advice of the national or state government, or government health authorities.
The Heritage Council will of course endeavour to minimise inconvenience to the public during this difficult period as COVID-19 continues to present challenges across every sector and in every community.
