Forward Surge Sculpture added to Victorian Heritage Register

The Forward Surge Sculpture and surrounding Victorian Arts Centre lawn have been included in the Victorian Heritage Register.

The beloved piece of public artwork has been included in the Register for its cultural, historical and aesthetic significance to the State.  It is a wonderful example of late modernist public sculpture.

Created by Inge King, it is the largest work of this highly respected and critically acclaimed sculptor.

It was installed on the Victorian Arts Centre lawn in 1981.
